As we begin 2013, here’s an ebook you might want to look at.

2013 is the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. If the movie Lincoln whetted your appetite for information about emancipation, the National Archives is putting on events related to the Proclamation all year, and they have released a free ebook, The Meaning and Making of Emancipation, that is worth a download.
