Text currently reads “… they discovered that in many cases more men died of infection and disease in the Civil War than died on the battlefield”. This doesn’t make complete sense. “Many cases” of what? Can’t be individual injuries because we’re talking about men (plural) in the whole Civil War. Grammatically it seems like we’re talking about “many cases” of the Civil War, which makes no sense. I suggest replace with:

“… they discovered that, in the Civil War, many more men died of infection and disease than died on the battlefield.”

or

“… they discovered that, for many Civil War battles, more injured men died of subsequent infection and disease than died on the battlefield”.

Great book by the way, I’m really enjoying it and it’ll be very useful for explaining to the ‘business side’ of my organisation what this whole Agile thing is all about and why. Thanks for writing it! Andrew andy@aellam.net

123TYPO

please neglect the page number cited abov3, it’s just that my reader only gives me relative page numbers from each chapter. the typo is in the following text:

“Scope boxing disregards time in favor of completing an easily described units of work: a singe story or feature”

I think’ singe’ should read. ’ single’; thanks

This is particularly valuable teams adding new members.

This is only grammar, but I thought I would point it out.

If you strive for just a 2% improvement every few weeks you’ll have at
50% improvement at the end of a year.

Just grammar.

1ERROR

Mobi file does not have a book cover. On kindle, I can’t see book cover of this book.

Tricky

This is a little trick, actually. What happens is that the last person to integrate usually winds up with this huge burden of failing tests and ends up not going home for dinner. That’s the last time she does that.

175SUGGEST

The text refers to a test of the happy path, which uses MINIMUM_AGE and discusses the absence of the same test using MAXIMUM_AGE. But the printed source code (and also the downloadable example code) uses 21 to test the age in the happy path, so the text is kind of confusing.
Suggestion: Update source code or remove the three paragraphs of discussion from the text.

“Maintainable code is code that is understandable and easy to work with. It’s design is clear, entities are well named…”

In the excerpt above, “Its“ should not have an apostrophe.
