I think this line is missing a period?
“…the L-mode and R-mode styles of thinking3 Again in general…”

This sentence is throwing me off - I read and re-read it trying to get it to make sense to my little pea-brain:
“When most people think of “programmers,” they think of nerds with thick glasses sitting at computers and typing industrious-ly. While the glamour part is all true, the typing part is only half true…"
The sentence implies that he just said programmers were ‘glamourous’. It’s a good, humorous sentence - but maybe should use the actual word ‘glamour’ above. Example,
“When most people think of “programmers,” they think of glamourous nerds with thick glasses sitting at computers and typing industrious- ly. While the glamour part is all true, the typing part is only half true…"
Consider it.

2011-09-15Thanks -- considered, but I like the more subtle form.

You could do a smidge more with this sentence:
“There are additional titles that boil down to the same thing: Chief Scientist, Fellow, and whatnot. These honorifics are generally bestowed on a very small handful of people at large companies.”
Like perhaps adding this sentence, “These people are the equivalent of Mick Jaggers at the company: They are rock stars that have been around a while. They gave birth to some major product or patent in the company’s history , thus making their mark and cementing their job security.”
Something like that…

2011-09-15For this spot I don't want to get into details; I just wanted to say that those titles fall in the same category.

The third paragraph’s third sentence (line 14) should be: “…cover all code you write for the duration…”. The word “right” is used incorrectly.

Mention RDoc along with Javadoc and Doxygen. You are, after all, using ruby. :D

2011-10-06Changed to reference "JavaDoc---or whatever's appropriate" since the section is using C and Java as its examples.

The accurate page is my Chinese version. I think there is a mistake but you have not mention in the code. It is about reverse the str. char *copy = malloc(len); copy[len] = 0.
Is this illegal to access copy[len] because copy can only access 0 to len-1 …

2015-01-13This is a deliberate error in the code (see the top of the next page)
