TYPO | The examples (and the text) refers to the currency “Norwegian Krona”. The correct Norwegian currency is “Norwegian Kroner”. “Krona” is the Swedish currency. | 2006-11-01 | |
ERROR | I think “root> chmod g+S /home/svn-repos/db # g+t on BSD systems” might be switched around (g+S for BSD and g+t for linux?) $ uname | 2006-11-06 | |
ERROR | Re: using SSH to access repositories. On Mac OS X 10.4, the suggested sticky bit setting: chmod g+t /home/svn/repos/db doesn’t have the desired effect. On committing, the attempt to move .current.tmp to .current fails, because the user doesn’t permission to overwrite the old .current file. I think the correct command is: chmod g+s /home/svn-repos/db (that’s a lower-case s) which will mean that new files will be owned by whoever committed them, but will belong to the same group as the other users accessing the repository. This will give write access to the other members of the subversion group, which is what’s desired. I believe this should work for both Linux and BSD users. | 2006-11-06 | |
ERROR | Your use of usermod to add a group omits the -a option I see this has already been posted however the ‘-a’ should appear before the username in the command. This is how it should be: /usr/sbin/usermod -G subversion -a mike | 2006-11-06 | |

SUGGEST | Page 77 of the PDF mentions lack of true rename support, but I just discovered a new addition to the svnbook that needs to be in this book as well. svnbook.red-bean.com/nightly/en/svn.branchmerge.copychanges.html#svn.branchmerge.copychanges.bestprac.moves The ramifications of this are great and can’t be glossed over. | 2008-06-23 | |
TYPO | The SVN Update command summary shows M as the action character a merged file, this should be G | 2008-06-23 | |
TYPO | After creating the REL-1.0.0-clientfix tag, the example shows a checkout of REL-1.0.0 not REL-1.0.0-clientfix in the “tag URL” This would not checkout the client-fix, but the original release branch. | 2008-06-23
